Privacy policy
CrochetGraph is built to work without an account. We collect as little as possible. Last updated October 3, 2026.
Your photos, pictures and logos
Pictures you choose in the chart makers, and a logo you add for the seller edition, are processed only in your browser. They never leave your device: they are not uploaded, we do not store them, and they are not written to your browser's storage either.
Paid PDFs are built only from the finished chart data. If you download a paid pattern file (the large-print chart, the row worksheet or the everything zip), your browser sends our server the grid of color letters, the color names and hex codes, and your settings (stitch, gauge, units, yarn weight, paper size, cell size, US or UK terms and the chart title), plus, when you add the seller edition to the zip, the shop name and copyright line you typed. Your photo and your logo are never part of that request, and the server refuses requests that carry images or any other fields. The server builds the files in memory, sends them back and does not store the chart, the text or the files.
Your logo is resized in your browser and drawn onto the cover and copyright page of the seller-edition PDFs there, after the zip has downloaded.
What stays in your browser
To keep your work after a refresh, the makers save your last chart (the grid and settings, never the picture) and the row you reached in the row tracker in your browser's local storage. Share links put the chart grid in the part of the address after #, which browsers do not send to servers. You can clear all of this by clearing site data for crochetgraph.com in your browser.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe, which receives your payment details and email address. We receive a payment confirmation and an anonymous customer reference. We never see your card number.
What we store
To remember what you paid for, we store an anonymous access record (plan, status, expiry or remaining uses) and a one-way keyed hash of the email address you paid with, so you can sign in on another device. We cannot turn that hash back into your email address. Sign-in emails are sent through our email provider. A single strictly necessary cookie keeps your purchase active on this browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It counts page views and a few anonymous events, such as starting a chart, loading a picture, generating a chart, opening the pattern-file preview and downloading a pattern file. Event details are limited to things like the stitch type, chart size, paper size, which file was downloaded and whether the zip held the seller edition, never the picture, the logo or the shop name.
Your choices
Email crochetgraph@vezli.net to delete your access record or ask any question about this policy.
